"You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart always will be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place." - Miriam Adeney
Education Abroad opportunities at Metropolitan Community College include short-term, faculty-led group experiences and independent experiences that range from weeks to a year-long experience.
OPE电子竞技官网’s Credit Courses Abroad/Away (CCA) programs have offered study experiences for over 400 students. CCA programming was paused in early 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
At OPE电子竞技官网, CCA programs involve two OPE电子竞技官网 full-time faculty members who lead a short-term study abroad or away experience for students enrolled in a credit-bearing course. Abroad programs travel outside US borders. Away programs travel within the contiguous USA (48 adjoining U.S. states and the District of Columbia of the United States of America).
A gradual return to CCA programming has begun. A team of faculty and staff met to propose reinstatement of CCA programs. Additional faculty with CCA experience provided online feedback to this team.
OPE电子竞技官网 full-time faculty are invited to complete a Credit Courses Away proposal to lead students on credit bearing study experiences within the contiguous USA during the Summer 2024 academic term.
