Transferring credit to OPE电子竞技官网
Students who wish to transfer credits from another college to OPE电子竞技官网 must provide official transcripts from the institutions they previously attended and have a declared program of study with OPE电子竞技官网.
How to send a transcript to OPE电子竞技官网 Registrar's Office
OPE电子竞技官网 Registrar's Office
PO Box 3777
Omaha, NE 68103
- bring to the Registrar's office (Fort Omaha Campus, building 5). The transcript must be in a sealed college envelope.
- Electronically: ONLY through a third-party electronic transcript provider (Parchment, Scrip-Safe, National Student Clearinghouse, etc.), OPE电子竞技官网 email for transcripts: transcripts@sys-filter.com.
Transcript Evaluation
All courses pertaining to the declared program of study will be evaluated. If you would like to have specific courses transferred in, which do not pertain to your major, you must notify the Registrar’s Office by completing the Transcript Re- evaluation/Specific Course Evaluation Request found under the Student Services Home tab in the portal.
Important:
- Once courses have been brought in and transcribed, they cannot be removed and will remain on the permanent record.
- Transfer credits are not calculated into the student’s GPA.
- Due to content being regularly updated for the following courses, non-OPE电子竞技官网 courses will only be accepted if they have been taken within a specific time limit:
- HDIM 2421, HDIM 2431 and HDIM 2432 - courses need to have been taken within 3 years of the current catalog year.
- INFO 1001 - course needs to have been taken within 5 years of the current catalog year.
- All Information Technology program majors are required to take INFO 1001.
The following criteria must be met for a course to transfer:
- Institution must be regionally accredited by one of the following agencies:
- Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
- New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE)
- The Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
- Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
- Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC)
- WASC Senior Colleges and Universities Commission (WSCUC)
- Course content must besimilar to an OPE电子竞技官网 course;
- Grade of C or better must have been received;
- Credit hours should be equal;
When course credit hours are not equal, students may have to take additional courses to meet OPE电子竞技官网 degree requirements.
Example: ACCT 120 (6 credits) from the Sunshine College has been equated to OPE电子竞技官网’s ACCT 1100/ACCT 1110 (4.5 credits each, total 9 credits) but will be posted as ACCT 1100/ACCT 1110 with 3 credits each to match the original number of credits the student completed (6.0 credits). 3 credit shortage can be covered by extra credits in any other section or by taking an additional course to fulfill overall credit hours requirement for a program.
Transcript Re-evaluation
Request a re-evaluation (
Re-evaluation request form) if you changed to another program of study or wish specific courses to be reviewed.
International Transcript Evaluation
International transcripts must first be interpreted by the current members of the
National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. A course-by-course evaluation must be requested, and the official report must be sent directly to the Registrar's Office. International transcripts evaluated by a credential evaluation consultant will be reviewed using OPE电子竞技官网's transcript evaluation guidelines/policies.
Credit for Earned Undergraduate or Graduate Degrees
OPE电子竞技官网 credit is awarded for some general education courses to students who have an official transcript on file in the Registrar's Office, noting conferred bachelor’s, master’s, juris doctor, or doctoral degrees from a regionally, accredited American institution. Qualifying students will receive full credit for associate of applied science general education requirements.
Important:
Some programs have specific requirements for general education courses. In such cases a transcript will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis. Check with your advisor to see which general education credits you may be eligible to receive.
